Train the Trainer course

The Ready for Equity! Academy™ will run the first train the trainer module on 14th and 15th December 2010 at its office in Camberley, UK.

 

The 1 ½ day course is targeted at professionals from the informal investment market. Business Angel network managers, private investors, SME coaches and mentors involved in fundraising for SME’s can qualify to deliver the RfE! training programme to Europe’s Business Angel and Entrepreneur communities on behalf of the Academy and its associated organizations.

 

During the train the trainers module we will discuss the training topics and how they connect.  We will also discuss the implications of seminar organization and administration of training events as the majority of participants will attend the module to become a licensee of the academy.  Furthermore, pedagogic approaches and training methodologies will be explained and applied in group work exercises. Trainers and participants will share experiences, case studies and best practice examples to be included in the training sessions.

On the second day, you will complete a training assignment by delivering a sample session to the group.

The assignment will be evaluated by a group of experienced and certified RfE! trainers who will award the certification upon successful completion of the module.

Fees:  The price for the train the trainer’s module is 1500.00 € (excl. VAT).

Requirements

You have at least 3 years experience / active involvement in the early stage informal investment market proving a profound understanding of -   and empathy with the needs of the investor community and early stage, growth-orientated businesses. An understanding of equity based deal structures, including relevant tax and legal implications is essential. Furthermore, you have general knowledge of the wider funding landscape.

You have excellent presentation skills and the ability to engage and interact with a group of trainees. Naturally, you inspire, motivate and facilitate interactivity with your audience. You understand different teaching and delivery methodologies and adapt as appropriate to the needs of your training group.

You have credibility and know how to deal with senior management teams in growth businesses.

An excellent knowledge of English (verbal & written) and excellent organizational and administrative skills complete your profile.
