ll Progetto Ready for Equity! è stato avviato nell’ottobre 2006 per individuare ed eliminare le problematiche chiave che ostacolano l’ttività dei business angels presso l’ntera comunità imprenditoriale europea.

Sebbene sia difficile raccogliere dati precisi relativi al mercato del capitale di rischio informale, è chiaro che l'Europa è considerevolmente in ritardo rispetto agli Stati Uniti. Nel Regno Unito, per esempio, si stima che gli investitori informali attualmente soddisfino soltanto il 10% della domanda potenziale. Tuttavia, in Europa, in generale, l'attività imprenditoriale risulta in aumento.

During the Ready for Equity!™ project the partners shared best practices, tools and mechanisms in place throughout the different regions in Europe to develop a structured and all-embracing training program targeted at improving the capacity of informal investors and Business Angels, and to prepare entrepreneurs seeking finance.

The results from the second RfE!™ project, RfE!2™ are the basis for the training package which has been successfully tested in 11 European countries with a total of 680 participants and is offered through the Ready for Equity! Academy™.
